I was looking at these same guitars and bought the Taylor 110 because of the price over the 214. It is a fabulous acoustic guitar and one of the best purchases that I have made. The Taylor 110 provides a lot more value than the competitors, and even the rest of the Taylor line. The only way to find one at a better price is to shop for used acoustic guitars.
In my opinion, Taylor makes better guitars than Martin. The Taylor 214 is obviously a better guitar than the 110, but the Taylor 110 is a very good guitar at its price point.
