I've found that the strings that you use are especially important in Taylor guitars so try a couple of different brands and types until you've found one that you like and fits your music style. Make sure that you never put Ernie Ball strings in it or your Taylor will bite you. Taylor makes a nice line of acoustic and acoustic electric guitars. The 114 is one of their lower entry, no frills models but comes in at a great price while having the Taylor quality and sound. You've made a pretty good choice and you paid a good price for it.
