Jimmbo asked:

I've finally saved enough money to get a Taylor acoustic guitar. I'm thinking of buying either Taylor 214e Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar or a Taylor 310ce Dreadnought Cutaway. The 214e is around $999 and the 310ce is around $1,500.

Do you think that the 310ce is worth the extra five hundred dollars?
I'm also going to need an acoustic amplifier. Can anybody give me a recommendation for one?

For the extra money I’d go with the 310ce, It used better wood in the construction and it also has better electronics in the pickups and onboard amplifier.-ce is made of better wood and has much nicer electronics. It is worth the extra money in my opinion. That’s a decent difference, percentage wise, in cost between these two guitars but I would definitely spend it for the one with the better wood and electronics if I had the bucks.
