Crafter Guitars originated in Korea as the Sung-Eum Music Company in 1972. The company's sales struggled against the more established Western and Japanese guitar manufacturers and was renamed to Crafter in 1986 in an attempt to reestablish and identity in the musical instrument market. Today their main products are acoustic guitars and electric guitars and their main country of export is the United Kingdom.
